About Us

Hair Safari is the result of love and labor by husband and wife team, Eric and Jess. After the pandemic, Eric decided that he wanted to follow in his parents’ and grandparents’ footsteps and open his own salon. In 2021, Eric and Jess purchased a 1956 Spartan Royal Manor and their journey to becoming business owners began!

Hair Safari operates out of the newly renovated Spartan trailer at Eric and Jess’ home in South Austin. With only one chair in the salon, Hair Safari is sure to offer a unique and personalized experience.

Hair Safari’s name pays homage to Eric’s late mother, Denise, who had a salon by the same name in Tyler, TX in the 80s. She would be incredibly proud to see what her son has built.

  • Eric Wright

    Owner, Stylist

    Eric Wright is a fourth-generation hair stylist who has been practicing his craft for 9 years. Eric was trained at an Aveda Institute and specializes in men's cuts and shaggy textured razor cuts.
